The Chariton City Council approved the low Bid from Irvinbilt Company for the new Municipal Aquatic Center.
Irvinbilt Company from Chillicothe, MO. built the new pool with a base bid of $2,849,000. The Chariton City Council, Chariton Park and Recreation Board, the Swimming Pool Committee, and the Chariton Recreation Department have put together and endorsed the following list of items that they would like to see added to the new aquatic facility and Bingham Park if funds were available. Early planning discussions included some of these items in the pool design, but they were eliminated in order to trim overall project costs. See Details. The layout was approved by the Swimming Pool Committee. The Funding for the new project is from a 1 cent special option sales tax passed in every city in Lucas County. If you have any questions contact Committee Members or Recreation Director.
